5th Saturday Workshop: Closures
“Closures” is a fitting theme for this end-of-year day of making! All three classes are centered around different ways to create custom fastenings for garments or accessories, using historic methods.
Click on a link below to register separately for each class.
First, learn how to make Dorset buttons out of thread or yarn, to match or contrast with special handcrafted items. Stick around for the next class on making frog closures. This pair of classes comes with a special offer – save $5 when you register and attend both!
After lunch, learn about lucet braiding. This simple and versatile technique uses a lucet tool (you’ll get your own to take home!) to create cording that can be used for drawstrings, ties or laces, as well as fun and kid-friendly items like bracelets.
