The lucet is a simple, historic handheld tool that is used to create practical square braided cords. The sturdy braids may be used for both decorative and practical purposes, to make a variety of items including laces, trims, drawstrings, bracelets and more. (And frog closures, if you attend that class!)

In this class you will learn the history of the lucet, and how to use this handy tool to make three different types of braids. You’ll get the chance to practice making your own cords using cotton yarn and learn tips and tricks for making even, consistent cords.
