Looking back: Midwest Weavers Conference 2013
Midwest Weavers Conference at Emporia (held back in June) was a great experience. I have never been to one before and it was pretty cool to get to take classes from the craftsman/artists that wrote the books. The teachers I had were fabulous. There were lots of interesting vendors, including Yarn Barn and Shepherd’s Mill. People came from as far away as Wisconsin.
The guild table displays were pretty awesome. The fashion show was amazing. As those of us know that stuffed the conference bags, there were a lot of neat things given away in the bags. I got quite a few nice comments on the washer necklaces that we made, too.
Those guild members that attend the upcoming meetings this year will have a chance to learn some of the things that took place at the Midwest Weavers Conference.
