“Newbies” are first time weavers who will learn the first steps of warping and dressing a loom, reading a draft and finishing a simple plain weaver project.

“Steppers” are those who know the basics, but perhaps when first learning to weaver, missed a step, or need to unlearn a bad habit that creates a less than perfect handwoven piece.

This class meets twice a week on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, and repeats monthly.

Class will be held from 1:30 – 4:30 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays; sessions are repeated monthly.

  • 8/2 cotton, preferred

Instructor will provide:

  • small floor looms, 24-30″
  • warping boards
  • shuttles
  • handouts

The location for all classes is the Fiber Arts Center of Wichita at 751 George Washington Boulevard.
