In addition to the general business, it was announced that nationally known spinning and fiber instructor Judith MacKenzie’s studio was lost in a fire in Forks, Washington. Guild members voted to send a donation through the Rebuild Judith’s Studio website.
The program at this meeting was let by Devora Colcord, who brought supplies for members to weave Kansas Snowflake ornaments in two sizes.
While participants followed her instructions, she also showed a number of her other baskets, ranging from a large custom designed double-walled basket for picnics and other outings to hand-sized perfect miniatures.
As always, the attending members enjoyed visiting, learning new skills or honing existing ones, and taking home their own creations!
The next meeting will be the traditional luncheon and auction on December 1st, at a location to be announced.
