Class is full!

Want to try spinning but not ready to invest in a wheel? Drop spindling is an inexpensive way to spin, and a great way to try out a new craft without breaking the bank.

Even if you’ve been spinning on a wheel for years, using a spindle can improve your spinning skills and is extremely portable!

In this two-hour course, we’ll cover all the basics of spinning on a drop spindle including drafting fiber, working with twist, winding on to form a cop, plying on a spindle and troubleshooting common spindle problems.

Students will take home their own wood top-whorl drop spindle, fiber to continue practicing at home and ideas of how to use their handmade yarn!

Combine this with the First Steps in Fiber Prep class at 10 am and expand your fiber skills in just one day!

Class will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 1 – 3 pm.
