In this 8-session class, students will explore eight-harness patterns from Dr. William Bateman’s books.  The retired chemistry professor-turned-weaver developed a system for combining two or three patterns together to create sophisticated allover patterns. His innovative methods produce rich and intricate fabrics which look much more complicated than they are!

Class activities will include warping & hooking up treadles, which help students gain experience in analyzing patterns for effective color placement.

This class is intended for experienced weavers who are ready to take their skills to a new level in this month-long study.

The extended session of this class will be held on Monday & Tuesday afternoons beginning October 1, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
