2nd Annual Midsummer Faire

Come join the fun! This fundraising event offers something for everyone, in a relaxed and friendly environment. Drop in any time between 10 am and 3 pm on Saturday, June 27, 2026, and stay as long as you like.
Our Midsummer Faire is a come-and-go art and fiber event, with activities for all ages, vendors, demonstrations and PIE! Try your hand at various weaving, dyeing, felting and other projects, watch some demonstrations and do a little shopping, stroll through the gallery exhibit, and then sit down to enjoy (or take home) your choice of home-baked pie by the slice.

The rug felting (with a riding lawn mower – you’ve got to see it!) will begin at 2 pm, but if you come earlier, you can add your own colorful element to the design. We’ll have a silent auction for the finished rug, so one lucky person will take it home after it’s dry and ready to go.

Several of the creative projects have a fee of $5 – $15 to cover materials. Cash, card and check payments are accepted. All proceeds go to support the Wichita Weavers, Spinners & Dyers Guild and its educational outreach through the Fiber Arts Center of Wichita.
Hands-on activities are geared for a wide age range, and no previous experience is needed!
