“Viking Knitting” is one name for an ancient wirework technique that is based on an ancient fiber technique called nålbinding.

Learn this surprisingly easy method to make elegant bracelets, necklaces and other jewelry pieces!

Start with the basics, then learn double Viking knit and how to use two colors. Some basic jewelry making instruction will be included.

Choose a beaded bracelet or keychain for your project, and either finish it in class or take home materials and instructions to complete it.

Materials and tools  will be provided, but feel free to bring your own jewelry making tools or BYOB (bring your own beads!) if you have some you’d like to incorporate into your design.

Class will be held on Saturday, November 10 from 10:00 am to noon.

Instructor: Sharon Barnes

Class fee $26, including materials.  Register online and bring payment (cash or check) to class.

New for this session!  Attendees may choose to purchase a materials kit for the Spectrum Duet bracelet for an additional $8.

Location: Fiber Arts Center of Wichita at 751 George Washington Boulevard.
