This class is designed for beginners, but anyone is welcome to participate. Class will cover warping, meet and separate, hatching, double half hitch knots, pigtails.

Students will have homework so we can work on finishing methods the last hour of class. Open to people ages 14 and over.

This class consists of three 2-hour sessions on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. on November 5, November 12 and November 19, 2019.

 

 

The next Tiny Tapestry Techniques class will be held in January, covering angles and slits. Other class topics (dates to be announced) will cover ‘moving color’ and curves.  Participants who take all classes will produce a complete set of unique and useful mug rugs!

Class fee $60, includes tools and looms for class use.  Register online and bring payment to the first class.

 

Materials to bring:

  • Scissors
  • Wool worsted weight yarn, at least two different colors. No superwash yarn.
    • Some recommended brands are Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted or Nature Spun Worsted.
    • Harrisville Highland also works well. Dakota Designs, an online store, will sell half skeins of Harrisville Highland for about $4.50.

Instructor will provide (tools need to be returned at end of class):

  • Copper pipe loom
  • Tapestry needles, shed stick, beater
  • Warp thread
