This is an introductory class to some of the basic concepts of book binding.
There will be vocabulary handouts, class project handouts, and advanced exercises/projects handouts, all with references.
The goal is to leave with a book in hand, and plenty of ideas for other books!
The 4-hour class will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019 from 1 – 5 pm.
Instructor: Chris Brown of Brown Bindery & Conservation
Class fee of $125 includes all materials. Register online and bring payment to class. Cash and checks accepted.
Materials to bring:
- Favorite pencil
- 12″ straight edge with metric on one side
Instructor will provide:
- All supplies to make one Japanese stab-binding book
- Instructional handouts
The location for all classes is the Fiber Arts Center of Wichita at 751 George Washington Boulevard.
