Ewe to Yarn Series
Start your next project with a raw fleece! Learn about different types of wool and get some tips on selection, and skirt a fleece to remove unusable parts. Then get some hands-on experience in scouring, both in a batch and by the lock.
Wear old clothes & shoes – we may get a little wet! This class will be held outside, weather permitting.
Participants will divide up the scoured fleece to take home, along with some soap and additional wool to scour on their own.
Those who also register for the afternoon dyeing class will have clean, wet wool all ready to dye!
Additional classes in the Ewe to Yarn series will cover various fiber prep and spinning techniques.
Class will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00 am – noon.
