A surprise drop-in by KSN reporter Asia Cymone Smith was greeted with smiles and grace by a few participants in a March Open Spin session.
We’re not sure how she heard about our Open Spins, but are delighted with the publicity! The event is regularly held on Tuesday afternoons from 1 – 3 pm.
Nine Guild members were privileged to participate in the Wichita Art Museum’s January Family ArtVenture event “Fleeced to Meet You“. While the cold and rainy weather did put a damper on some of the plans for the day – the alpacas weren’t able to attend – it was warm and dry indoors, and we were able to talk fiber with a lot of people of all ages.
Visitors were able to watch a variety of fiber skills demonstrated, and even had a chance to try several techniques themselves!
