Tunisian crochet is a technique that is a cross between knitting and crochet, which can produce intriguing textures. It uses a single long needle with a hook at the end; work your way across from left to right, and then back across without turning, so you’re always looking at the right side.

Best of all, it’s beginner-friendly, and no knitting or crochet experience is needed! (As a bonus, it works up surprisingly quickly.)

You’ll learn the basics in this two-session class, which will open up a new world of elegant stitches that can be created by using different kinds of overs/unders/arounds, twists, and scooping down into lower stitches.

The class project is a large cowl, but participants may prefer to create a medium-sized item (washcloth or placemat) or a small item (hair bow or bag handles/straps).

Choose from evening classes on Tuesdays, February 10 and 17, 2026, from 6 – 8 pm, OR daytime classes on Fridays from 2 – 4 pm on February 20 and 27, 2026.

Instructor: Marnie Franklin
