Fiber Fusion

~ Session three in the 5th Saturday Workshop ~

Learn a new creative technique for making your own textured textile.

In this class you will make a 10″ x 10″ size  work of art by sewing fabric scraps together.

Participants need to be comfortable with using a sewing machine. Please feel free to bring your own, or note in the comments field of the registration form if you need to borrow a sewing machine. There are a limited number of machines available!

Class will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 3:30 – 5:30 pm.

Class fee $40.  Register online and submit $10 via PayPal to reserve your spot. Bring the remaining $30 (cash, check, card, Facebook Pay or Venmo accepted) to class.

Materials to bring:

  • Sewing machine
  • Size 14 denim needle
  • Bobbin of black or white thread
  • A selection of thread for decorative stitching
  • Protective eye wear
  • Optional – bring your own fabric scraps to play with!

Instructor will provide:

  • Water soluble fusible
  • Scrap fabric
  • Scrap trim

The location for all classes is the Fiber Arts Center of Wichita at 751 George Washington Boulevard.
Enter through the double door off Morris St. (south side of building).
