Crocheted Pumpkin

It’s pumpkin time! Come and make your own seasonal pumpkin – all ages are welcome.

Crochet a small pumpkin, to be completed in class. A comprehensive printed guide will be provided along with hands on instruction. Your personal pumpkin can be either ridged or textured, based on your crochet skills. 

Yarn suggestions for a successful project are listed below.

Students will learn how to complete their pumpkin with steps to add lobes to shape the pumpkin and choose a stem to complete its authentic look.

This class is offered at three different times. Choose one that fits your schedule and click the link to register online. Class fee $45.  Register online and submit $10 via PayPal to reserve your spot. Bring the remaining $35 (cash, check, card, PayPal or other online) to class.

Materials to bring:

  • BRING YOUR OWN YARN. Medium weight 100% acrylic is needed. NO fuzzy yarns or dark colors.
  • Optional: wired ribbon or stem accents

After registering, watch for an email from instructor with yarn buying info.

Instructor will provide:

  • Extensive stitch guide & checklist steps for at home completion, pic tutorial pattern for sewing pumpkins in case you don’t finish in class
  • Crochet hooks
  • Tools for use in class
  • Fiberfill and other supplies
  • Embellishments including ribbon, cinnamon sticks, mini pinecones
  • Crocheted leaves & tendrils available for purchase – FREE to first two students to register!

The location for all classes is the Fiber Arts Center of Wichita at 751 George Washington Boulevard.
