Plan and Prep a Combo Spin
For spinners of all experience levels!
Do you have gorgeous braids or batts of hand-dyed fiber, but don’t know what to do with them? Learn an easy way to create beautiful and complex color-changing yarns for large or small projects, using multiple batches of dyed fiber from your own stash.
Bring your fiber to class for help in evaluating and deciding which ones to combine for an intriguing spin. You will learn different ways to prepare, recombine and spin them into unique yarn, and take home a list of knitting pattern suggestions. (These yarns are great for crochet and weaving projects, too!)
This class is for inspiration and project planning, with no actual spinning; it will include time and space to split and remix your fiber. Participants will go home with handouts, ideas, and ready-to-spin fiber.
The 2-hour class is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 10:00 am – noon.
A vendor will be attending, so there will be an opportunity to purchase additional fiber!
You are also welcome to bring extra braids and work out trades with other participants.
