Make a sturdy and trendy tote bag from just rope and thread!  Bring at least 2 spools of thread in your choice of colors (and your sewing machine if you have one) to learn how it’s done in this 4 hour class.  A limited number of sewing machines will be available if you need one.

Participants must have basic sewing experience; this class is suitable for ages 12 and up (this would be a great 4-H project!).

Class starts at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

Instructor: LaVonna Morgan

Class fee $40, plus $10 for materials.  Register online and bring payment to the class.

Materials to bring:

• Your own working zigzag sewing machine (if possible)
• Thread, 4 spools – at least 700 yds.
• #100 top stitching needle (plus at least one spare!)

Instructor will provide:

• Rope
• Instructions
• Sewing machine (if needed)

The location for all classes is the Fiber Arts Center of Wichita at 751 George Washington Boulevard.
